180th Street south of Highway 370

Project Description

This project will reconstruct this segment of 180th Street from a two-lane roadway to a three-lane roadway. Improvements will include grading, paving, culvert work and installing storm sewer.

The project will begin at Highway 370 and continue 0.5 miles south, which includes two connections to the Magnolia subdivision. An existing culvert will be replaced and storm sewer will be added to capture storm water runoff. Major grading will be required to improve drive-sight distance and to bring the roadway up to design standards.

180th Street will be completely closed during construction with traffic detoured to 192nd Street. Once reopened, capacity, traffic flow and commuter safety will all be improved.
